DAR Marker Dedication

Saturday, July 4th at 9:30 a.m.

The public is warmly welcomed to celebrate America 250 with the Princeton-Illinois Daughters of the American Revolution on July 4th! A beautiful engraved stone marker will be unveiled within the new landscaping planned for the exterior entrance of Princeton’s City Hall. There will be a short ceremony beginning at 9:30 am dedicating the stone in honor of America’s 250th birthday and commemorating Princeton’s celebration of the wonderful event. A new tree behind the stone given by the DAR, will also be dedicated at this time in honor of all Bureau County patriots who served in the Revolutionary War. Please join this patriotic event and celebrate with us!

250th Celebration Parade

Saturday, July 4th at 10:00 a.m.

The Parade will run from City Hall to Soldiers & Sailors Park. 

250th Ceremony

Saturday, July 4th at 11:00 AM

Located at Soldier’s & Sailor’s Park. Co-organized with the Bureau History Center.

Shadows of Blue & Gray

October 10th – 11th

The 30th annual Shadows of the Blue and Gray, Civil War re-enactment. One of the longest running running events of it’s type in Illinois! Located at City County Park, Princeton Illinois.
